Project Overview
While being part of D&AD's first ever cohort of their Shift With Google program in Sydney, I was offered to work on two opportunities in the program. The first one being capturing Profile Photos for each Shifter part of the cohort, and the second one being able to develop an Digital Artwork to be displayed at the cohort's Showcase at the end of the program. In that process, concept work was developed in addition to those two opportunities, to either amplify or enhance the potential of those two pieces of work.

Photography

The Profile Photos of the Shift cohort did not entail a run-of-the-mill corporate LinkedIn profile photo. They are meant to show visually the energy, diversity and creativity the #NewBlood has in the industry and why they should be hired by their next employer.

The photos of the cohort were made to be used in promoting the Shift talent and in future marketing collateral for the Shift With Google program.

Artwork

Through the process of setting up the venue for the cohort's Showcase industry event, D&AD has offered me the LED space within the venue to come up with an artistic and eye-catching representation of the Shift cohort.

The design I came up with is a modern looping motion design based artwork that represents the diversity and flexibility of that year's cohort within the program.

The moving text next to the moving 4-colour pattern, is showing the creative roles in the industry that the cohort is going for.

Concept Wall Profiles

In the concept stage of the Wall usage, a practical concept I came up with alongside the looping artwork was the Wall Profiles; a way to present in the main area profiles of the Shifters from the cohort and their creative portfolio through a continuous slideshow, moving from profile to profile seamlessly, while still allowing people to grab the Shifter's details through the on-screen QR code.

ShifterNFT

After the Shifter Profile Photos were shot, I conceptualized these magazine-like covers for each Shifter to post on their socials, to grab attention and showcase the #NewBlood entering the industry.

The pitch was for D&AD to enter the Web3 space through an unique NFT, called the ShifterNFT.

Each Shifter would have their character-like NFT, with direct connection to them; through this, D&AD would have a direct entrance in the Web3 space and would help Shift Alumni launch themselves in the industry.
